We hope everyone who reads this blog, and even those who don’t, has a good Thanksgiving.
Leah and I are pretty much alone here in Rome. Neither of us has much family left, and those who are left don’t live around here. So we’ll probably end up having the Thanksgiving buffet at Ryan’s, otherwise known as a steak place.
If Thanksgiving is here, you know Christmas is sneaking up, too. Our Christmas cactus is starting to bloom.
Here’s a closer shot.
It seems pretty happy there, sitting by the sliding glass door in the living room. We’re happy that it’s happy.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Leah. We’re celebrating, just the two of us, too. We’re going to head out to the marsh for a King Tide walk (highest tides of the year so far). Clear and cold here, frost on the roofs, and definitely feeling wintry. Perfect Thanksgiving Day. Enjoy your feast!
Robin — We saw a story on the network news about the King Tides out there. We’re pleasantly warm today; the high was near 70.
We left the Thanksgiving buffet stuffed, even after having eaten only one entree plate. I won’t say, however, how many desserts I had.
