Our new neighbor, who is building a house down the street on Wildlife Trail, runs an earth-moving company. He asked us if he could park some of his equipment in our driveway overnight because he said that kind of equipment gets stolen pretty frequently. Of course we said yes. He had just pulled this bulldozer onto the driveway when Dusty discovered it. Can you see Dusty?
Poor little Zoe hasn’t showed up yet and there’s no trace of him. He hasn’t had his pain medication for his arthritis or his eyedrops for his glaucoma in a week. The ad we put in the paper started on Tuesday, but we haven’t had any calls. We’ve talked to our three closest neighbors and no one has seen him. I have looked around the neighbors’ yards and Mark has walked up and down the mountain with the dogs and there was no sign of him. It doesn’t make any sense at all.
I think I see Dusty. I wish I could make the photo bigger, so I could be sure.
It is very sad news that Zoe hasn’t returned. I keep hoping for the best.
We’ll post it later and reveal where Dusty is. It actually looks more obvious on the computer than Mark’s phone…I’m driving myself crazy worrying and thinking about Zoe! Thanks
Leah
Dusty has found the big Cat very attractive. Never noticed before that he’s the color of red Georgia clay.
So very sorry that Zoe is still missing. Of course you can think of little else. I hope you find him.
Thanks so much.
Leah
I think that Dusty’s checking us out from under the hydraulic hoses in front of the cab (but I can’t be positive). I’m sure that the CAT on the ‘dozer enticed him to investigate. It is so sad about Zoe, but I suppose there’s still some hope. We had a cat that disappeared in Florida and I found him cowering in a drainpipe over a week later.
Thanks Scott. I hope so!
I was going to post an enlargement so Dusty would be more visible, but I think everyone saw him. He was resting on the warm engine hood towards the rear, visible through the arched hydraulic lines.
