Smokey found a high place to keep an eye on Dusty and Rusty.
He looks kind of neat sitting up there. I wish we could find a matching cat for the post on the other side of the walk.

Agreed: Smokey looks great on the post. Cats will get into anything, anywhere. Kali and I came home from work last night and heard pitiful meowing that we determined was coming from the bedroom closet–Maxine had “snuck in” in the morning as Kali was dressing and had gotten trapped in there all day. The weird things is–this is hardly the first time it has happened; you’d think she’d learn. Also, Maxine’s favorite “new” spot is atop of one of Kali’s shoeboxes; she looks really “scrunched” on top of the box, but she returns there time after time. Go figure.
Scott — Smokey isn’t the only one. All of them find “new” places all the time. And, after a while, I guess the newness wears off and they look for a new “new” place.
A cool cat. He’s clearly keeping watch for marauding menaces, with an eye to the next viral youtube.
Wayne — Unfortunately, the only thing he seems to keep watch for is our two half feral strays Rusty and Dusty. He likes to chase them around.
Leah – maybe he’s just keeping in practice for the invasion of the red dirt hogs?
