Partial rainbow
We’ve had a lot of rain over the last two weekends. Rome and Floyd County were in flash-flood warning areas both weekends. The heaviest rain was ending Monday evening as I walked the dogs. This partial rainbow appeared right before sunset. According to the Atlanta TV weathermen, it’s supposed to dry up and get warmer this week. And rain again next Saturday.
Beautiful rainbow! We’re finally getting some much-needed rain here.
There was such a wide range of brightness in this shot that I couldn’t manage to get it all to show up. I am now wondering if my fairly old, fairly simple point-and-shoot is actually good enough to capture the dynamic range. It’s been a good camera, but I think I’ll start using a newer camera, even if it is too big to carry comfortably in a pocket, and see if it works better in situations like this.
