A dog has appeared at our house, apparently another victim of bad humans. He looks like a lab mix, but smaller. I guess he’s about 40 pounds, and probably under a year old. We already have enough animals, so we don’t want another (although I do want another doberman. Dobies are different.)
I think he would make a good pet. We have emailed a picture to a local pet rescuer, but they are full now. The last stray ended up in a transport to some place like Wisconsin, where apparently dogs and cats are valued more than they are here.
He came to the right place. It’s safe there, and he will be cared for until a home can be found. He looks like a very sweet dog. He’ll make a great addition to a family somewhere. Good luck.
We heard today (Thursday) from a woman who does a lot (a whole lot!) of rescue work. It sounds like she can find someone to foster the dog until they find a good rescue organization. She said if we had been able to contact her early enough last week, she could have put him on a transport to a good organization in Minnesota, which is actually where the other dog went, not Wisconsin. That group was able to place the previous dog within a very short time.
